1. Overview & Ownership

MachanBill (www.machanbill.in) is an enterprise retail ERP and point-of-sale software developed and operated by CareTech Mobile, led by Founder Shihab Rajendran. We are dedicated to uncompromising privacy, tenant data isolation, and total security of your commercial records.

2. Information We Collect

• Store & Merchant Details: Shop name, GSTIN, Owner phone number, email address, physical store location.
• Billing & Invoicing Records: Invoice numbers, product items, pricing, tax slabs (CGST/SGST/IGST), customer names and mobile numbers for WhatsApp digital receipts.
• Audit Logs & IP Security: Staff logins, cashier session timestamps, IP addresses for rate limiting and fraud prevention.

3. Strict Tenant Isolation (Row Level Security)

Every merchant account operates under a cryptographically segregated multi-tenant boundary. Cryptographic session tokens and strict tenantId filtering guarantee that no store can ever inspect or touch another merchant's catalog or ledger.

4. WhatsApp Receipts & Third-Party Gateways

Customer phone numbers collected at checkout are strictly utilized for sending thermal digital invoices and WhatsApp PDF receipts. Customer data is strictly never sold or leased to third-party ad networks.

5. Data Sovereignty & Right to Erasure

In accordance with India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act 2023 and GDPR, merchants retain full ownership of their data. You can download a complete JSON archive of all transactions or permanently purge your account via the Admin portal.
